The Manila Street Astronomers would like to invite you to participate in the 2020 Philippine Telescope Hour. The PTH is a nationwide, simultaneous free telescope viewing event designed to promote astronomy awareness and education to the general public. It is a collaborative public engagement program that encourages cooperation and unity within the scientific community. This event also serves as promotion period for each organization's respective activities for the National Astronomy Week celebration on February 16-22, 2020.
Event hosts are to setup their telescopes for at least one hour within their respective area/community of choice. The event will take place on February 1, 2020 starting at 8:00 PM. Event hosts are also encouraged to do a live broadcast of their event setup through social media sites should it be possible.
