  • MSA South Coordinator
  • Science teacher at ISCAG
  • Amateur astronomer
  • Member, Philippine Astronomical Society

Manila Street Astronomer Abdur Rahman Alindao teaches high school Physics at a Islamic school in Cavite. As a 'balik-Islam', he finds ways to connect astronomy with Islam (discussing about the astronomical discoveries of famous Muslim scientists, explaining the Arabic names of stars, and many others). By incorporating astronomy and Muslim achievements in his class discussions, Abdur hopes to instill to his students a sense pride for their Muslim identity, and find a common ground for science and the Quran. Abdur likes to watch TEDx videos. He is a member of the Philippine Association of Physics and Science Instructors (PAPSI) and the Philippine Astronomical Society (PAS).
